New Delhi: The Ministry Of Communication & Information Technology has announced has announced the launch of Center of e- Governance (CeG) to spread the awareness about e-Governance initiatives in India. The upgraded centre was opened by The Minister Of Information Technology, A. Raja in the presence of Minister Of State Communications & IT, Jyotiraditya M.
The CeG enhancement plan is a part of NeGP sponsored “Awareness & Communication Activity”. CeG will provide a unique platform for wider dissemination of awareness regarding the successful e-Governance initiatives in the country. The center is set up with an aim to provide the visitor the opportunity to experience different e-services and to digitally record his/her impressions of the CeG. It would also undertake the hosting of important seminars & awareness programs to reach out to the common man.
The CeG uses visitor-friendly kiosks to showcase applications, demonstrations and presentations which reflect the progress achieved in the implementation and usage of e-governance. It also features state of art display formats, internet enabled conference areas, an extensive digital library, video conferencing facilities and a conference hall. CeG is expected to gain prominence as a global reference point & showcase the possibilities of e Governance by educating & awareness building.
